We have decided to renovate our home in March, mainly to paint the walls, upgrade the fence and replace the current carpets with timber flooring, and we have asked our tenants to leave by early March. This is all the preparations for my mum's migration to Melbourne by mid this year. The application was submitted July last year, so hopefully it will be granted no later than July this year. [

Last time I went to the city to watch the firework was on New Year's Eve 2005 when my wife arrived in Melbourne for the first time. And for the following years we spent the night with friends at home and watched TV. I did go to the city with friends before 2005, and realised that it has no difference every year, and I don't feel comfortable with so many people around and so much noise. So we decided to celebrate this special night with friends at home this year again.
Nemo, Nata, Carol and Sarah joined us last night to have hot pot dinner. And we watched the BeiJing Olympics Opening Ceremony using the HD video I downloaded, to enjoy the proud moment of Chinese people again.
New is the year, new are the hopes and the aspirations, new is the resolution, new are the spirits and forever my warm wishes are for all of my friends and families. Have a promising and fulfilling new year. [

Last week I read the news about the skilled migration change in early 2009 from Herald Sun newspaper. I believe lots of my friends will be affected by this change and I think it would be helpful if I can do some research and find out what exactly happened. [

It is Xmas again in 2008, and Hitwise is organising another Kids Xmas Party at our St Kilda office this morning as usual. Lots of colleagues bring their wife and kids into the office to celebrate Xmas together and bring them in front of their desks to introduce their family to other colleagues. [
